I LOVE capsule wardrobes... let me tell you why! First off, your outfits are pre planned, so you don't have to wake up everyday thinking "I have nothing to wear" or "what the hell; am I going to wear" then proceed to stand in your closet for 30 minutes only to throw on the same outfit you always wear feeling not only defeated, but possibly frumpy, unstylish, and late to work!
They also eliminate clutter! Clutter is TERRIBLE for your mental health! Whether you realize it or not, clutter can actually interfere with your relationships, your sleep, even how you eat and your digestion!! Isn't that wild?? By eliminating closet clutter, you can feel better, sleep better, and be less cranky!!
And I don't know about you, but I have a bit of a shopping problem! The problem is, somedays I HATE shopping, and somedays I love it! haha I tend to over spend, collect items I never wear, then feel guilt and shame about spending that money that could have been used somewhere else and now I have to figure out a way to get rid of the excess...sound familiar??
I know the term "capsule wardrobe" can be a bit.....triggering, to some! It implies a SMALL wardrobe that you will get bored with, something that doesn't suit your lifestyle or your actual style, and maybe just too limiting! So let's change that term...let's call it a CURATED CLOSET!
I feel like this term is better suited for most of us because:
A: a capsule insinuates those are the only clothes you will ever have
B: a curated closet allows for additions, switch outs, seasonal add ons, etc.
C: a capsule is generally only one style! A curated closet is YOUR style, YOUR life style!

Now that you have seen everything I can work with, let's look at the first weeks worth of outfits! BUT FIRST...I know what you're thinking...sure its nice to have less stuff, but I still don't know how to make outfits that are cute! HAVE NO FEAR!!! I actually pre planned all of my outfits for the month ahead of time, and I can do the same for you! That is just PART of the Curated Closet System! No thinking on your part, its like paint by numbers, but for clothing!

So there is the first week!! I can tell you already having my outfits planned out took off SO MUCH STRESS for me! The last time I did a capsule, I was left trying to figure out what I would wear everyday and I ended up repeating some of the items almost daily because my creativity was having a hard time! But this round, having pre-planned outfits is just hitting so different. My ADHD isn't stressed over what to wear!
